  • Decks that are attached to, or serve, a dwelling and are proposed within 900 mm of the allotment boundary must comply with Part 9.2 of the NCC 2022 to address fire spread requirements.
  • Decks that are attached to, or serve, a dwelling and are proposed within 1000 mm of the allotment boundary will generally require dispensation / Council Report and Consent under Regulation 79 of the Building Regulations 2018.
  • Overlooking diagrams completed by a Draftsperson may also be required if the deck is over 800mm in height.
